Some great results by the team at Port Macquarie for Ironman.
Andrew Mildren performed strong all day to finish his first Ironman in 11:05
Jason Freney ran a pb after struggling with stomach problems on the bike to post a 12:22
Kim Cook notched up his first Ironman to post a 12:45
Tim Fryirs finshed with a 22minute pb in 12:49 and took 13mins off his swim pb for a 63min paddle in the process.
Brett Isaac was in a great position after a 49min swim and solid 90ks on the bike before disaster struck with a snapped rear deraileur.
Two athletes tht have been swimming with the squad and focusing on getting out of the water early had great results
Brett Stewart 10:18 won the 55-59 age group by 48mins and swam a 13min pb coming out of the water in 60mins
Matt Porta 9:39 and 10th in 30-34 swam a 6min pb to come out in 55.30

Brett Isaac, Andrew Mildren and Kim Cook had a hit out at HUskisson to test their preperaton for Ironman and all came up trumps with great results.
Andrew Mildren travelled down to Canberra for his third Half Ironman of the season. As the scene of his first ever half last year he went down to measure his improvement. Andrew had a very solid day to take 65minutes off last years time posting a 5hr 16min, Great effort Andrew. Check out Andrews race report.
Congrats to Tim Fryirs (aka Skinny Wiggle) who had a tough day in Busso. In extremely challenging conditions where the dnf list was long. Tim stuck in there and gutsed it out, overcame two flats an got belted by the winds on the bike and suffered in the heat on the run to finish in 14hrs 57mins. Great effort on a tough day and a very limited preperation.
